On Thursday September 5, 2019 the 11th Grade Coffee was held, and here is a summary of what was covered :
Juniors will be taking their PSAT on October 16 , and will have no classes after the test. Depending on their test taking time, they will be done sometime between noon and 1:30 pm.
College Representatives are visiting the school and juniors are able to go see them, the students are updated regularly at school but if parents are interested please visit the student’s Naviance site.
They are currently working heavily with the seniors but we will hear more for our kiddos come spring.
Mr. Dow reviewed how each semester updated the GPA and how the transcript shows one final GPA per year.
Junior Speeches were discussed and start this week ( there was a letter sent with details from Cory on September 6 via email).
Charlie David Dinner will be taking place in the dining hall on Friday, September 20th from 5:00 – 7:30 pm prior to the varsity home football game. There was information sent out to all Upper School parents and guardians September 9, please review on the ways to get involved and support. Also, if you have a student that can help, please have them sign up for an hour to volunteer at the event, it will help support the event AND allow a service hour to their credit ( see service hour rules for details).
There was discussion regarding some changes being proposed for the senior trip for the our students class next year. It is still being reviewed and if you have any questions or concerns please reach out directly to Dr Pascal Losambe or Cory Izokaitis.
This and previous 11th Grade communications can be found on the 11th Grade PACA webpage.
Thank you and hope you are having a wonderful week!
