Class of 2021 Parent News



Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had a nice restful break and holiday. The calendar will start to fill up with some opportunities for our Junior class. Listed below are some date reminders for the month of January:

-Tuesday, January 7 at 3:30, grades will be posted on MyBackpack, click on magnifying glass to read teachers comments

Internship Information Meetings led by Jen Conti:
Internship Workshop – Wednesday, January 22 at 3:30pm or Thursday, January 23 at 7:00pm in the Trustees Room

  • Attend one workshop session to be eligible to apply for the internship program. Click here to register.

-College Counseling Classes start this week for Juniors as a part of their January class schedule!

-Our College Counseling Team has also scheduled PARENT coffees in the dining hall on the following dates:

January 23rdThree events...one evening
The PACA Parent Ed team will be screening two different documentaries in the dining hall:
Miss Representation
The Mask You Live In
Both focus on harmful cultural messaging that targets boys and girls from very young ages and can be obstacles to “flourishing.” Miss Representation focuses on girls and The Mask You Live In focuses on boys. They will be shown at the same time on separate sides of the room. Q and A will follow. There will be movie style snacks and beverages. CASE will be provided and will open at 6:30pm. The screenings will begin at 7pm.

Save the date: Winter Formal, Saturday night February 8th, at Columbus Academy

Junior Parent Party is being planned for Spring. If anyone is interested in volunteering their home to host, please let us know.
