Key Dates For The Next Two Weeks:
Sunday, September 8th: Ashura holiday begins Monday, September 9th: Senior lunch privileges begin provided students have turned in a signed parent permission form Tuesday, September 10th, 8am: 12th Grade Coffee with Cory-Dining Hall Tuesday, September 10th: Drop/Add period ends for students Thursday, September 12th, 7pm: US Sleep Out. If your student is participating in this event, please make sure that permission forms are filled out and turned in on Monday (Sept 9th) Friday, September 13th: Upper School Service Day and Club Fair. You should have received an email from your student’s advisor with details of this day. Sunday,September 15th: Hispanic Heritage Month begins Friday, September 20th, 5-7:30pm: Charlie David Dinner. Please see below for additional detail and information. Saturday, September 21st, 10am: Community Day at CA. Come and enjoy a full day of community activities. Start with the 4th Annual Rampage Run, stay for the ¡HOLA! Tailgate, watch one of 6 sporting events and activities and food trucks in between! Details are here. Saturday, September 21st, 11:30am:HOLA Tailgate at boys home soccer game. ¡HOLA! will host it’s 5th annual fútbol tailgate to cheer on the Vikings Boys Varsity soccer versus Bloom-Carroll High School. The match starts at 11:45am. There will be fruit, drinks, and a craft for the kids. Please join HOLA in the fun! All Columbus Academy families are welcome to participate!

Charlie David Dinner
Save the date for the 37th annual Charlie David Dinner taking place in the dining hall on Friday, September 20th from 5:00 – 7:30pm prior to the varsity home football game. This is CA’s only athletic program fundraiser of the year and it’s a family-friendly event for all ages. We look forward to seeing you there in your Viking attire! There are five ways for you to be involved in this 37th annual event!
· Sponsor the event and designate your gift for a certain team or Wish List item. Details are here. *
· Attend and bring the family! It is an event for all ages and wear your CA Spirit Wear. Tickets can be purchased here.
· Donate an item for the silent auction. Suggestions and ways to donate are here.
· Bid on the auction items! We will have an online site where you can bid before and during the event (even if you can’t be there!). Look for the link the week of the event!
· Volunteer at the event. Sign up here.

Senior Celebration for Sports Teams:
Senior nights for fall sports have been added to the calendar. Some sports are still tba. Please join the CA community on these nights to honor the senior players and their athletic accomplishments.
Parent Education Thursdays:
The theme of PACA’s Parent Education this year is Flourish! The programming focuses on positive psychology research. All events will be held in the Dining Hall. Save the date!
