We have several items to share including information on Ski Club and news from College Counseling:
Upper School Ski Club:
The Upper School will have a ski club this year! The ski club dates are Jan 7, 14, 21, 28 and Feb 4th. There is a $75 fee that covers transportation. Buses will leave CA at 3:45 and return from Snow Trails at 11:00 pm on the above dates.
Ski Club deposits ($75 Check made payable to Columbus Academy) will be collected starting this Tuesday, December 7th. The first 50 students will be guaranteed a seat on all 5 bus trips. After the first 50 students are registered, there will be a waitlist for any open spots. The deposit covers bus transportation only.
Ski Club members will also need to purchase lift tickets. Snow Trails has oversold their club passes for the first time in history. Due to the high demand this year, they have reached their capacity for Club Passes, and have discontinued offering them altogether.
At this time there are still three other options for registration:
1. There are a limited number of “Silver Select Passes” available for $359. These are flexible passes good for 6-12 visits. They expect these to sell out any day.
2. There are also a limited quantity of “Standard Season Passes” available for $465, but we have been advised these will sell out in the coming week.
3. In approximately one week, Snow Trails will open their sales of “Daily Lift Tickets.” You can select the dates you need, equipment rental, helmet, etc., and purchase a ticket for each individual evening you will be skiing. There are only 300 Daily Lift Tickets available per night, so these will sell out quickly once released. The price for the “After 4PM Lift Ticket Only” is $34, or $83 with equipment.
If you have further questions or are interested in chaperoning ski club, please reach out to Jake Stouffer (StoufferJ22@columbusacademy.org)
