What an exciting time of year! This past Friday was the final bell for our seniors. Congratulations to all the seniors for their hard work and dedication! It was so fun seeing them in their college shirts and coming together to celebrate on the senior quad. The past few weeks we saw several exciting programs including the senior art show, band concert, high school musical, jazz concert, and the cabaret. All amazing performances. If you missed any of these, make sure to watch one at some point during your child’s time at Academy. You will be amazed at how talented these students are.

If you would like the opportunity to work with the upper school team, this is a great and easy way to join the Academy community of parents. For more detailed information, feel free to contact us at academyusparents@gmail.com. We are looking for Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior lead parents to volunteer throughout the year. In addition, most people work in teams of two so you work with a friend!!

Monday, May 8-12 : Teacher Appreciation Week! Show your appreciation for all the hard work our Academy teachers have done for our students. Calendar of events is listed towards the bottom of this page.
Wednesday, May 10: PACA meeting in the dining hall. All parents are invited. Join us on the fireside of our dining hall for PACA’s final meeting of the school year and a vote on proposed changes to the structure of our Parents’ Association.
Monday, May 22: Tenth Grade College visit.
Monday, May 22: Physics trip to Kings Island for physic students.
Friday, May 26: Honors Assembly for Seniors. Parents are invited.
Friday, May 26: Ice Cream for our Upper School students in the quad.
Monday, May 29: Memorial Day- NO CLASSES.
Tuesday, May 30: to Thursday, June 1: US final Exams. Students should report to school by 9:45am. for exams that begin at 10:00am. However, school will be open at 7:30am for those who ride the bus or have early transportation. Students may depart after their exam or stay for lunch if they wish.
Thursday, June 1: Last day of Upper School.
Friday, June 2: Commencement Rehearsal for Seniors, 11:00am followed by the Senior Party at 12:00pm.
Monday, June 5: Commencement, 9:00am.
