We hope that this note finds you well and enjoying the Fall season.
Due to the challenges presented by the current health pandemic, PACA Parent/Guardian Education will take a different path this year. In the past, PACA has focused upon in-person, event based information sharing. However, this year we are developing a new virtual communication strategy to highlight relevant enrichment resources for our CA community. In addition to virtual forums, we will also share recommendations for books, articles, films, podcasts, etc. that enhance our awareness and deepen our knowledge. Based upon feedback that we have received thus far, we have identified several key topics: social justice and antiracism, health and wellness (general and as impacted by hybrid learning) and internet/digital safety. We encourage you to let us know if there is anything else that you would be interested in adding to the “curriculum.”
To that end, we have identified a very interesting lecture series, sponsored by The New Albany Community Foundation, that we call to your attention. The lectures cover a range of topics relating to social justice and feature nationally recognized experts. Please note that advance registration is required, but there is no charge for participation.
The second lecture in the series is next Wednesday, October 21st at 5:45pm. Please click here to register and for further details.
If your schedule does not permit you to attend the live session, The New Albany Community Foundation will maintain a video recording for 30 days following the event, which you may view at your convenience.
