Hello Middle School families!
We hope you all had a healthy and happy holiday break! Here are a few things upcoming for your calendars:
1. PACA FORUM / WEDNESDAY WELLNESS WALKS
This coming Wednesday, January 12 has TWO morning events for parents and caregivers to participate in. The monthly PACA Forum starts at 8am in the Fireside area of the Dining Hall. PACA will be introducing the new Director of Campus Safety and Security, Perry Doran. The focus topic of this month’s forum is an introduction to the College Counseling Department at Academy – what they do, etc. and can be informative for ALL divisions. Yes, Middle School too! However, if you don’t want to stick around for college counseling this time, they will be dismissing for the Wednesday Wellness Walk with Lower School counselor Shaun Ditty at 8:30. So, come early (PACA forum starts at 8am), grab a coffee, meet the new Director of Campus Safety and Security, and catch up on what’s coming up within PACA, then head on out for a walk on campus with Mr. Ditty to learn about mindfulness! **The Wellness Walk is rain, snow, or shine, so make sure you dress appropriately to be outdoors for approximately 1 hour whatever the conditions are**
IF you wish to stay for the college counseling department’s presentation and Q&A rather than participate in the Wednesday Wellness Walk, you are absolutely welcome to!
IF you wish to go on the Wednesday Wellness Walk without joining the PACA Forum first, please just plan to meet Shaun Ditty and the other participants right outside the Dining Hall doors at 8:30am sharp!
2. United CA:
The next United CA meeting is Thursday, January 13th from 8:15am – 9:15 am on the Fireside portion of the CA Dining Hall. As a reminder, United CA is open to all parents / guardians of CA students and it’s purpose is to create a safe space for parents / guardians to share diverse life experiences, challenges and opportunities, and collaborate to foster an inclusive and equitable school community.

3. Photos! And lastly, the hot chocolate celebrations after exams before break were a huge success. The students really enjoyed it and we wanted to share some pictures so you could too!
