Dear Middle School Families,

We hope that this note finds you well! Following are some important updates:

Community Meetings

This year, grade level Community Meetings will be held in the evening replacing morning coffee talks from past years. The first is Wednesday at 6:30pm for 8th grade parents.

In preparation for those meetings, please send any questions that you want answered or topics discussed to Jennifer Salopek and Christina Jauchius. (jcs and cmjauchius)

Charlie David Dinner

Charlie David Dinner – Sept 20, 5-7:30pm, Dining Hall.

There are five ways for you to be involved in this 37th annual event!

  • Sponsor the event and designate your gift for a certain team or Wish List item. Details are here.
  • Attend and bring the family! It is an event for all ages and wear your CA Spirit Wear. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • Donate an item for the silent auction. Suggestions and ways to donate are here.
  • Bid on the auction items! We will have an online site where you can bid before and during the event (even if you can’t be there!). Look for the link the week of the event!
  • Volunteer at the event. Sign up here.

CA Community Day

Community Day – Sept 21- 9:30am – 5pm, All over campus

Start with 4th Annual Rampage Run, stay for the ¡HOLA Tailgate, watch one of 6 sporting events and activities and food trucks in between! Details are here.
Viking Rampage Help Needed!

Special thanks to Ryan Yeoman for his tireless efforts in creating the Viking Rampage Run. Ryan and PACA could use some help!

  • Friday, 9:00am – noon: Help Ryan complete setting up the course. Meet Ryan just west of the MS playground near the discus area. Call Ryan (614-306-2902) if you have any questions.
  • Saturday, 9:45am – 11:15am: Set up the finish line area and welcome early finishers
  • Saturday, 11:15am – 12:30pm: Welcome finishers and help clean up the finish line tables after the race ends

Apple Picking 🍎

Sept 29, 11:00am – 2:00pm, Lynd Fruit Farm

Join the Columbus Academy Student Service Board for the very popular Apple Picking Service Event at Lynd Fruit Farm in Pataskala. Pick a bag for your family and one (or more) to donate to local food pantries. Again this year, prices are $15 for small bags and $25 for large bags. Families from all divisions are encouraged to attend!

PACA Youth Basketball 🏀

For both girls and boys in 4th-6th grade, PACA has announced this year’s plans for the winter PACA Youth Sports basketball season.

Details are here with a signup link to register to attend a try-out session on either Oct 19th or 20th.

The season begins in November and runs through mid-February.

PACA Volunteer Opportunities

PACA has many volunteer opportunities and would love to hear from anyone who might be interested. Please fill out the PACA Volunteer Form ( link to the form) which is also available on the PACA vikingparents.org website.
