From the Office of Development: All Day 4 CA – April 2-3
Mark your calendars! All Day 4 CA, Academy’s 25-hour online giving event benefiting the Annual Fund kicks off April 2 beginning at 10:00a.m. with a matching pool that will double each dollar donated! You can be All in for CA, and even choose to support what’s most meaningful to you: Arts, Athletics, Curricular Innovation, Faculty or Financial Aid.
If you haven’t already participated in the Annual Fund this school year, this is a great time to do so! If you’ve already contributed, and feel so inspired, your “above and beyond” gift will add to the All In spirit of the day and be matched thanks to a group of generous parents and alumni who have increased their own gifts this year to inspire others to do the same.
By increasing the Annual Fund, we allow the school the flexibility to invest in new opportunities to enrich our students’ Academy experience, as we have seen with continued investments in Middle School makerspace and STEM learning opportunities, positive education training for teachers, new athletics facilities and the beautiful renovation of the Schoedinger Theatre.
Let’s show how proud we are of our Middle School by lighting up the All Day 4 CA “Class Leaderboard” with every parent’s participation on this day. Last year, two of our grades had an incredible 50 donors each. This year, we think all three Middle School grades can achieve 50 donors or more in these 25 hours.
It’s amazing what we can do when we all come together—like these Middle School teachers and students who formed this Viking ship on Hondros Field in honor of All Day 4 CA last year. Let’s show them our spirit and support!
Spirit Wear Day – April 2
April 2 will be a special spirit wear day in celebration of All Day 4 CA. All students, faculty, staff and families are encouraged to join in the fun of going “all in” with spirit wear on top, bottom and even accessories like scarves, hats, socks, temporary tattoos, etc. Maroon or gray items may be worn in lieu of CA logo apparel as long as there isn’t another logo on them. There are offerings in the school closet that families can have as well. No jeans or yoga pants. Have fun with it—like Mrs. Carter and Mr. Arnold, pictured here. The more spirit the better!
Thank you to the ever growing volunteer team, a testament to our CA community!
We are currently accepting silent auction donations from individuals or businesses. We appreciate the generosity and creativity thus far! Gift cards, wine/spirits, business gift certificates, jewelry, CA spirit wear from Viking corner, and personal services are an example of items, thus far.
If interested in supporting or collaborating, please contact Gabriela May (hGaby33) or Amy Gonzalez (ajtressler).
From the PACA Board
The PACA board is beginning to assemble lists of those interested in volunteering next year. If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your areas of interest (grade parent, division parent, special interest group or event.
We wish you a safe, fun and healthy break!
