Hello Middle School Parents and Guardians!
First, thank you to everyone who contributed baked goods or a financial contribution to the Sweet Celebration helping to recognize our hard working faculty and staff. It was a big success!
From Mr. Arnold & Mrs. Carter
Friday (12/14) is dress in a fun, ugly or holiday sweater day. If your child doesn’t have one (or want to wear one), they should follow dress code as usual.
5/6th Grade Lacrosse Season is Up next!
Hard to believe, but it is! Open to all who are interested (no Lacrosse experience required).
From Parent Coordinator Jen Nevaiser, here’s how you get your fifth or sixth grader signed up:
– Fill out this registration form for GIRLS or this one for BOYS
– Attend Jan 10th at 6pm registration meeting. Bring your check for registration and questions for the coaches.
For details on the program, you can visit PACA Youth Sports Page.
– Other questions? Email Jen firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spring Gala (Yes, Spring is coming, we promise!)
If you still haven’t found your way to volunteer at the school, the Spring Gala which takes place in May is a perfect place to get started! Join event chair Tracie Klinefelter on Tuesday morning (12/11) in the Dining Hall at 8am for the organizational kick-off meeting. If you can’t attend but still want to help? Just send her a note to email@example.com.
If your kids have signed up for Ski Club (starts 1/11), you will be getting an email directly with some follow up reminders. If you hadn’t signed up and want to, check with Mr. Arnold – last we heard there may be one spot left on the bus!
Are you done holiday shopping?
Remember… the Viking Corner is open Wednesdays (or online 24/7) for all your holiday gift needs! And don’t forget for those of you who use Amazon, you can shop and benefit PACA at the same time. Details are here on how to link in! https://www.vikingparents.org/home/resources/#Amazon
And lastly – ICYMI – there is no school on Friday, December 21st. And there may not be another MS email that week if we don’t have any news to share. So we’ll wish you all a great holiday now – just in case!
Thanks for all you do to help make Columbus Academy a wonderful community of learning and growing for our kids!
