MS Bi-Weekly Update 1.18.19

Greetings Middle School Parents and Guardians!

As we get into the year, make sure to have your calendars handy. There are a lot of great opportunities to enjoy all that CA has to offer coming up.

For all grades

Reminder about winter dress: MS students go out to recess every day and need to be dressed appropriately for the winter weather – coat, gloves, and hat, if the coat does not have a hood. Thank you! – Mrs. Carter.

Jan 29th from 630-9pm : Parent Education Program

SCREENAGERS, Growing up in a Digital Age featuring guest speaker Ryan Hansen. Details can be found here; RSVP’s for this program are due to Kelly Vaziri by Tuesday 1/22.

Feb 1 & 2 @ 730pm : Middle School Musical: Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  For tickets for both nights, click here for the order form. It is a wonderful show for all families!

Backstage Pass: On Feb 2nd at 6:30pm, just before the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat begins at 7:30, join fellow thespian lovers for light snacks and beverages. Hear from Stefan Farrenkopf and Amy Brooks, two of our delightful and talented faculty, as they talk about the acting and music elements that create the foundation for all productions. You will also hear about the new auditorium changes and how shows are selected. Get a peek into the backstage experience of cast-members and crew. Imagine the adrenaline rush that our kids have just before the curtain opens.

Come to the band room near the theater lobby at 6:30 and relax with fellow theater lovers until showtime! This reception is free.  If you are dropping your cast member off for the 6:30 makeup call, this is the perfect prelude to get jazzed up about school showbiz!

Feb 6th @ 8am : PACA Parent Forum : Technology at CA – What your student uses, when and how with Sean Cullinan

Join us for the monthly PACA Parent Forum (complete with breakfast!) in the Dining Hall to hear from Sean and get all your questions answered about how technology integrates and assists with your students’ learning.
