Hello Middle School families! Great to see and hear from many of you in the last few weeks! There are lots of upcoming dates and events that we want to encourage you to attend and connect together with other families in our community!
Updates from Mrs. O’Brien regarding 8th graders: We will begin the process of transitioning students to the Upper School beginning in early April. Eighth grade parents will be kept abreast of items for students to complete including selection of electives, scheduling of classes, and Summer Reading selections.

Tuesday, February 22, 7pm – Conference sign ups go live! Log in to your MySchoolApp account to signup. Conferences will be on Zoom, March 9-11. Please take advantage of this time and opportunity to discuss your student’s experiences and ask any questions you may have about middle school so far this year.
Sunday, February 27, 2-4pm, Fireside Lounge, Dining Hall – MOSAIC invites ALL Academy families to attend a celebration of Black History Month featuring speaker and musician, Eric Dozier. See attached flyer for more details and to RSVP by 2/24.
Monday, March 7th, 6-830pm, Fireside in the Dining Hall – WINTER GATHERING EVENT! The Host Committee, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, invites you to a Winter Gathering of Columbus Academy parents and guardians. Please join us for a playful evening of food, games, and the opportunity to create connections within our wonderful community. We have missed seeing everyone and the long Ohio winter encouraged us to plan an in-person event to have some fun, share some food and enjoy one another’s company. We hope to see you there! Wednesday, March 9, 8-930am, Fireside Lounge, Dining Hall – PACA Forum Meeting, – we will be discussing PACA roles and opportunities to get involved, please come and bring friends! Tuesday, March 15: Middle School Wellness Discussion facilitated by Dr. Shekyra DeCree, Middle School Counselor. Please join us as Dr. DeCree speaks on and also facilitates an interactive discussion with middle school parents on student social and emotional wellness amid the pandemic and beyond. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP to Teresa from this email if you can join us so we can account for numbers!
