The Charlie David Dinner (CDD) is a Columbus Academy tradition! This annual event is named in honor of a dedicated parent who, 40+ years ago, organized and hosted a pre-game chicken dinner for Academy students and parents during the football season.

The event has grown throughout the years and continues to be one that everyone in the Academy community — whether parent/guardian, faculty/staff, student, or extended family — can participate in and ENJOY.

Today, this “chicken dinner” is the cornerstone of financial support for ALL Columbus Academy athletic programs. The evening includes a meal, silent auction, raffle ticket sales, and fun activities for kids organized by CA Upper School students.

The 40th Annual Charlie David Dinner, a fun, community-building tailgate event, takes place before the home varsity football game vs. Bexley on Friday, October 14th.

This year’s parent-driven fundraising dinner for the athletics department will rival years past, with spirited Vike’s, intergenerational gaming, and diversified food options to include:
  • The Cheesy Truck
  • Dos Hermanos
  • Paddy Wagon
  • Seven Little Sliders
  • Zaki

Charlie David Dinner staple, City BBQ, and Broke Johnny Food Truck also return this year.

Get ahead of the game — purchase meal tickets and sponsorship opportunities online at: pacaevents.wedoauctions.com. Advance purchase of tickets online closes October 9th at 10 p.m.
