  • Diwali Events at school: Oct. 22nd – LS Diwali Assembly; Nov. 6th – US Diwali Assembly (organized by students of Desi Club); Nov. 27th – MS Diwali Assembly organized by 6th Grade teacher Sonam Shahani. This year Diwali is on November 7th
  • Spring Family Gathering – stay tuned!

We are interested in ideas and collaboration. Please contact us if you are interested!

On Oct. 22nd the Lower School held a special Diwali Assembly organized by parents Ritu Bakhru and Kamy Bhalla along with many other parent volunteers.  Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights which this year falls in early November.  The assembly started with a musical entrance by parents dressed in traditional clothing, followed by a Diwali story and ended with LS students dressed in traditional clothing coming up on stage.  Each classroom in the LS was then provided with a Diya (clay lamp) making activity and Rangoli (colorful designs) coloring pages for students to do during flex periods. Below are pictures from this wonderful Assembly! Click here to see a short video of the program! and below for an enlarged view of the photos.
