Dear 8th Grade Families,

We hope that this note finds you well and that you enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend. Please see below for some additional details regarding the Class of 2024 Closing events, scheduled for this Thursday, May 28th.

Drive by Celebration, May 28th 11:30AM – 1:30PM πŸŽ“πŸŽ‰πŸŽˆ

Please join for a drive by celebration on May 28th, anytime between 11:30am until 1:30pm. Following are a few guidelines for the drive by celebration:

  • ONE vehicle per family will be permitted to drive through the bus circle.
  • The vehicle may be decorated as long as the decorations are safe and appropriate.
  • For safety reasons, vehicles should arrive and depart campus using CHERRY BOTTOM ROAD.
  • The student should be seated on the PASSENGER SIDE of the car.
  • Vehicles will remain on the drive until signaled by a CA representative to make a LEFT turn into the bus circle.
  • There will be space maintained between each vehicle while traveling through the bus circle.
  • NO STUDENT OR FAMILY MEMBER SHOULD LEAVE THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME DURING THE DRIVE BY CELEBRATION.
  • Vehicles may stop to say hello to teachers and should then proceed forward to meet Mr. Arnold and Mrs. Soderberg, who will distribute the certificates of completion (yay!) and a gift bag to each Class of 2024 student.
  • The gift bag will include a NUT-FREE sweet treat and there is a GF option available – please reply to this email if your student would prefer GF.
  • Vehicles will then exit the bus circle by turning RIGHT and proceed to CHERRY BOTTOM ROAD.
  • Horn blowing, waving, CA cheers and songs are all acceptable forms of appropriate expression while participating in the drive by celebration.
  • Advisory groups, activity and sport groups, friend/colleague groups, etc. are welcome to coordinate their arrival times during the 11:30am to 1:30pm window. Vehicles will be admitted one at a time into the bus circle and appropriate distance maintained between each vehicle.

Video Ceremony, May 28th 5PM

There will be a recorded ceremony to announce each graduate’s name along with their photo (school photo unless an alternate was submitted.) This pre-recorded event will be shared at 5pm on May 28th and be available to download for subsequent viewing.

We are so proud of the Class of 2024 and cannot wait for Thursday!

Sincerely,

Sara, Christina and Jennifer
